SPOTS 'N STRIPES RANCH

2006 Zebra Foals

HERE WE GO! Our 2006 babies have begun to arrive!

We are pleased to present:

Spots 'N Stripes Aziza
IZZZA # Pending
Foaled March 13/06 - 31.25" tall
Sire: Spots 'N Stripes Zack - Dam: Spots 'N Stripes Zantasia

>

This gorgeous baby is elegant and graceful. Congratulations to her special owner, Kari Wetherill of Washington. Aziza has gone to Washington, after 90 days of age, having been trained here to lay down, whoa, back, come to, away, go over the obstacle course, including the bridge, tarp, mat, and will shake hands, as well as being exposed to the saddle, harness, and cart. She clips, trims, loads, trailers, ties, and goes on the hot walker.

Spots 'N Stripes Uzuri Zohali
IZZZA # Pending
Foaled April 2/06 - 31.50" tall
Sire: Spots 'N Stripes Zack - Dam: Spots 'N Stripes T 'N T

This is an awesome colt - he will be going to Switzerland with his new owner, Alexandra Bucher, to continue his training and to be their ranch stallion. Of course, he'll have all the same training as his half sister, Aziza. Zuhali's name in Suaheli means 'beauty...elegance'.

Spots 'N Stripes Zanze
IZZZA # Pending
Foaled May 21/06 - 31.50" tall
Sire: Spots 'N Stripes Zack - Dam: Spots 'N Stripes Zuta

We waited for this little boy quite impatiently. He is the first full sibling to Spots 'N Stripes Zurprize....and, no zurprize to us...he has the same affectionate temperament as his big brother, what a darling. 'Zanzie' is going to Texas to live with Sue Snyder. where Sue will continue his training and give him a wonderful home. Zanze has been gelded. Here he is at 2 weeks old with a good friend to the ranch...a 5 foot gopher snake that feeds on rattle snakes...no time like the present for a little despooking...he never even blinked....

Spots 'N Stripes Zintawa
IZZZA # Pending
Foaled July 19/06 - 31.50" tall

As you can readily see, this little guy is a real ham, and is already working on his bag of tricks. He is such a happy boy. Zinty loves everybody so far, which is not a common zebra practice. Zinty has been the star attraction at the Rancho Sante Fe Polo Club half time show, at Chris Hoy's wildlife art show at Dana Point, CA, and at many schools to educate children about zebras. We will be showing him as a yearling in open horse shows.

2005 Zebra Babies

All of our babies are trained to respect, halter, lead, tie, lunge, hot walker, trailer and have their feet trimmed before you get them! They will know the verbal cues for 'whoa, back, come to, and away, as well as several others. They will load easily on a trailer. They will have been to several major events where they are exposed to crowds, noises, traffic, children, loud speakers, and other animals. They will be socialized with horses, donkeys, mules, miniature horses, zorses, zonkeys and zebras.

Yes, you will pay more for a trained zebra, just like for a trained horse! It is vitally important, however, to begin training a zebra baby at just a few days of age in order to optimise the extent to which the individual may be trained as an adult zebra. We will also teach every new zebra purchaser the art of how we trained their baby, and we urge continued training with us periodically to progressively turn your little one into a 'trained zebra'. Zebra training is $1500 per month for foals up to 6 months of age plus feed and care, and $1500 for the first month and $850 per month thereafter for 6 months and older plus feed and care.>

Delivery can be arranged anywhere! Credit cards accepted. Paypal accepted (percentage points may apply). Payments, lay away and terms also acceptable on approval.
