Horses In Need of Loving,
Caring Homes
We don't have a non-profit corporation for our rescue horses. We rescue them because of our love of the horse, and our compassion for those in distress or in need. Some 'rescued' horses we have paid for in order to remove them from their deficient environments. Others we have invested veterinary costs, and all have required extra rations for weight gain, and supplements to enhance coats, grow better feet, and for overall well being. As important, we have given them love and affection, as most were alienated, ignored, and neglected. We would appreciate not being asked to take less than our adoption fee, as we have a lot more into these horses than the amount we are asking.
The adoption fee we ask is only for the veterinary expense and feed we have into the animal to date....any training, our time, bedding, trimming, water (we pay for our water) and daily care we provide at no attached cost. Adoption fees posted on this page may change without notice, as additional expenses may be attached to an individual horse as they occur and may not necessarily be updated on the website as they occur.
We will tell you everything we know about the animal, both any history, and what care and/or training the horse has received since it has been with us.

HONEY - 11 year old sorrel Pinto Mare - ADOPTED!
Honey came to us from a nice family that turned her out into a good pasture with lots of room. She had a four day old foal at her side when they purchased her. Honey was their 'first' horse, and they did not feel qualified to work with her after she had been out in pasture for over a year. Without many horse 'skills' they had difficulty figuring her out. We havn't ridden her yet, but we have bridled and saddled her, and that went without a problem. Honey has excellent conformation.
Honey has been ADOPTED! She will be going to live with a great family that will love her, gain her confidence and trust, and give her a wonderful home.

ROCKET - 2 Year Old Miniature Horse
<
Rocket, as you can see, is beautiful. We don't know why he isn't registered, or why his papers, if he was, didn't come with him, but he can easily be hardshipped into the American Miniature Horse Association in a year. He is sorrel, He is 32.5" tall. We have it on good authority that he is the son of a National Champion AMHA sire, and he looks it.
Rocket is definitely halter quality. In open horse shows he doesn't need to be registered, and could become a champion. He will also make an awesome driving horse, with very nice action.
Rocket is definitely a 'must see'. Rocket's adoption fee is currently $1200.

Miniature Horse - Sorrel - 2006 Model
This colt is absolutely beautiful and will make a wonderful open halter horse, 12 hands and under halter horse, riding pony for a small child, in hand trail, obstacle, jumper and cart horse. He should mature to 32-34". He will also make a great teaser stallion...we have not gelded this one. Once you see him you can't take your eyes off of him...adoption fee - $800
RAINIE - 10 Year old Bay Appy/Arab Mare
Rainy was in a pasture with other horses for several years, and has had some babies. She was underweight when she came to us but has now picked up well and with a little exercise to get her 'baby belly' conditioned, she'll look just as she should. Below, here she is, 'feelin' good' 'n movin' out!
We were told by her previous owner that she is a wonderful trail mare. We havn't had her out on the trail yet, but on our trail course at home she walked straight up onto the bridge, went over the tarp, the carpet, the log and everything else we put in front of her. We had an SUV spit gravel in the driveway and at the same time honk the horn while we walked her right beside it...she acted like it wasn't even there.
We saddled her just once so far and rode her in the round pen for a few minutes. She needs a little work bending, as is to be expected, being in the pasture for several years. She responded very well to leg cues. Thirty days should make her an awesome mare. $1345
Raine has a gorgeous head and neck, and is nice and straight. She is an elegant mare and an incredible mover.
Guy
Black Registered Miniature Horse - ADOPTED!
Guy is just the sweetest boy....you'd never know he is a stallion. He was raised with children and trained beautifully, nothing but manners here...you couldn't ask for a better pet..we can't say enough about how wonderful he is...he is a proven stallion, and is very correct. He could be gelded if you like, but doesn't need to be unless he is not going to be used for breeding and is going to be in close contact with mares and children at the same time. The children he raised grew up and moved on, but Guy was always well cared for. He just got lonely without any mini horses or children in the last couple of years to keep him company. Guy is just 29.5" tall.. ADOPTED!
